INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Most hernias are one-sided so you will need to remove the pad on the side not used.
- (Some doctors recommend keeping both pads in place so that even pressure is applied to both sides. Consult your doctor for more information.)
- Lie down on a bed.
- Gently massage the swelling until it retracts back inside the abdominal wall.
- Place pressure pad over the affected area.
- Do not remove this pad from its pockets.
- Secure the waist strap so the fit is firm.
- Secure the leg straps and stand up.
- Now do final adjustments for maximum comfort.
- Make sure the pad(s) stay over the affected area. (We advise to wear belt over an undergarment if possible).
- If you experience brace slippage during 'vigorous' excercise, consider a smaller size or use some tape over the top of the support to lock it in place.
- This should not be necessary under normal use conditions.
- Compression to be firm, yet not too tight so as to restrict circulation.
- Always ensure to choose the most suitable support for the specific activity and/or injury you may be experiencing and if unsure always consult a physician.
- You should feel firm compression and protection.
- Do not apply over open wounds or if you have a susceptibility to dermatitis.
