Cleaning and Maintenance for Your Board

  • Easy to clean and maintain by simply wiping it down with a wet cloth.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Always place your board on a flat, sturdy surface.
  • Do not place board on an uneven or slippery surface.
  • Best to use the board over a rug.
  • Use a spotter or stable object for support.
  • If you feel uncomfortable or unstable at any point, step off of the board until you regain balance.
  • Keep posture upright to ensure good balance.
  • Don't look down at your feet while standing on the board. It may cause you to lose balance.
  • Do not use this balance board for purposes other than intended use!
  • Step on the board by placing one foot at a time.
  • Place one foot on the surface of the board so that it shifts until the edge of that side is touching the floor.
  • Once the first foot that is on the board, carefully place your other foot on the opposite side.
  • Feet should be placed equal distance from the center of the board.
  • Adjust your position until the board is evenly balanced.

For Active Standing Use

  • Standing on the board while maintaining balance has positive effects on posture and promotes body awareness.
  • You can gradually introduce new exercises to improve balance.

Range of Motion Exercises

Side to Side movement

  • Step on the board one foot at a time.
  • Feet equally apart from the center of the board.
  • Slowly shift your weight from one side to the other so that only the dome of the board touches the ground.

Front to Back Movement

  • Step on the board one foot at a time.
  • Feet equally apart from the center of the board.
  • Slowly tilt forward then backward from toe to heel without touching the edges on the ground.

Rotation Movement

  • Step on the board one foot at a time.
  • Feet equally apart from the center of the board.
  • Slowly shift your weight in a twisting action to one side.
  • Repeat this motion in the opposite direction.

Balanced Squat

  • Step on the board one foot at a time.
  • Feet equally apart from the center of the board.
  • Slowly begin to lower your body while keeping head and back straight into a squat position.
  • Slowly come back up to a standing pose.
  • Try practicing any of these exercises with dumbbells!

Single-Leg Exercise

  • Try standing on your board on one leg.
  • Place one foot in the center of the board.
  • Toes pointed forward.
  • Leg straight.
  • Center your weight on the board and slowly lift your other leg free.
  • Maintain balance on one leg so that board is evenly balanced with no edges touching the ground.
  • As you master this you can try shifting your free leg forward and backward as you maintain balance.

Footrest Exercise

  • Suitable for the elderly or those who sit for long periods of time.
  • Improves ankle mobility and circulation.
  • Sit in a chair.
  • Both feet on the the balance board equally apart.
  • Rotate the board in a circular motion in one direction then swap in the opposite direction. A bit like a washing machine.
  • For a greater challenge, practice this exercise when sitting on an exercise ball.
  • Be sure to use good posture and while engaging your core to improve stability.
